Dr. Kimberly McCarter, a native of Grambling is the daughter of Rev & Mrs Samuel & Ada Joseph. She is a 1994 graduate of Grambling High School, a 1998 graduate of Grambling State University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology, a 2002 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Master’s degree in Human Genetics, and a 2018 graduate of LSU Health Science Center-Shreveport with a PhD in Cell Biology & Anatomy.
Dr McCarter currently resides in Shreveport, LA where she works at Huntington High School teaching dual enrollment courses in Chemistry, Anatomy, Biology & Environmental Science. In her spare time she loves reading, listening to music and watching sports especially football and tennis.
She was married to the late Darius Wayne McCarter for 9 years and has 3 awesome sons, Nathan, Mason & Julian.
At NOMIE for Youth, our mission is to assist youth in growing into productive members of society by assisting them in overcoming any social, cultural, educational, and/or financial barriers that make it difficult for them to reach their maximum potential. Our goal is to play an integral role in positively influencing community children and to empower them through engaging programs and resources. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment where young people can thrive and develop their skills.
