Services for the Kids
NOMIE for Youth recognizes the importance of children’s self-esteem; and therefore, we advocate for the children we serve to help them:
1) Learn about their past;
2) Learn about opportunities available to them in their present; and
3) Learn about the limitless possibilities of their future.
Through multicultural, educational, and life skills workshops, NOMIE for Youth provides direction in heightening the importance of diversity and unity throughout the community. The organization mentors and guides the children we serve on their journey in getting to know themselves. Thus, NOMIE for Youth’s motto, “Getting to Know Me!”
NOMIE for Youth offers an After-School Development Program and Weekend Workshops for community youth. During times of crisis (such as with COVID-19), the organization offers students support via wireless technologies and virtual activities. NOMIE for Youth is continuously adapting to meet the needs of community youth.

- The organization currently provides afterschool mentoring and activities at three recreation centers in Shreveport, LA. NOMIE for Youth recognizes the importance of nurturing and guiding children so that they can reach their greatest potential.
